The Construction Specifications Institute (CSI) Holiday Gala returned to the historic Duquesne Club in downtown Pittsburgh this year, turning the venue into a hub for the local construction community to connect and celebrate.

The Gala is more than just a holiday party. It has become a can’t-miss in Pittsburgh’s architecture, engineering, and construction world—a rare chance to step back, take stock of the year, and recognize the people and partnerships that make our work possible.

Over 100 professionals attended, representing every corner of the regional AEC industry. Architects, engineers, contractors, manufacturers, and industry partners come together because we have a shared goal of doing our work well.

More than 16 vendors set up throughout the space, showing off products and innovations. But what made it valuable wasn’t the vendor displays themselves—it was the conversations they started. Real talk about technical problems, new solutions, and where things are going in construction.

This mix of people and expertise is what makes Pittsburgh’s building community strong. It’s what pushes the quality of work up across the board and every project.

RJ Bridges co-sponsored a booth with Construction Specialties and V.O. George Group. Having that shared space gave us a chance to have actual conversations with our peers. Events like this are exactly why we stay involved with CSI and AIA Pittsburgh. The work happens on job sites, but the relationships that make that work better? A lot of those get built at gatherings like this.

The event was more than a networking opportunity. It was a real celebration, with cocktails, charcuterie, and hors d’oeuvres. Not to mention the classic Pittsburgh cookie table, which was a crowd pleaser. Attendees also had the chance to win door prizes and other festive giveaways.

More than a celebration of the holidays, we also celebrated accomplishments across organizations and across projects. Recognition for every piece of the puzzle: the people, partnerships, and teamwork that make our work possible. Everyone walked away with appreciation for the connection, progress, and the opportunities on the horizon in 2026.

Events like this one offer an opportunity to strengthen relationships beyond day-to-day conversations about work. It’s a chance to build a real community. These face-to-face, community-based gatherings are invaluable in building long-lasting relationships across the industry.

We couldn’t be prouder to be involved with CSI and the amazing events they host for us here in Pittsburgh. Events like this one are able to remind us just how amazing the individuals and organizations who make our work possible are. We’re so thankful for this community, and look forward to staying connected through CSI. If you’d like to learn more, head here to get involved.

Stay tuned to hear more about our involvement in our community!
